New application discussion gets personal

 

Picture it: After a long grueling week of getting through yet another week of class, work, readings, meetings and laborious research papers, the weekend, with all that wonderful free time, arrives. You've just arrived at your favorite hang out spot for the weekend and all seems perfect. Then, the inevitable happens. The guy whose name you don't know but keeps pestering you to talk is also there. You cringe at the idea of him trying to introduce himself to you one more time and figuring out how to avoid giving him your name, but this time as he approaches you he doesn't ask, he just snaps your picture on his phone.

NFL lockout taking a heavy toll on fans

 

The extremity of the NFL lockout has reached epic proportions; the longer it continues the more damage it does to business in ways nearly beyond measure.

For the uninformed reader, here is a brief synopsis. The NFL labor agreement between the owners and the NFL Player's Association expired shortly after the end of the most recent NFL season. An agreement is yet to be reached, and as a result the NFLPA decertified so as to allow players, namely stars like Tom Brady, Drew Brees and Peyton Manning, to file suits against the owners who locked the players out.
